Please contact us to join our mailing list for forthcoming events, or for any further information. We can send leaflets by post or email about the commissioning process, house portraits, or commemorative commissions for civil partnerships, anniversaries, weddings, retirements, birthdays and other celebratory occasions.
We welcome visits to the studio and the Yardroom, our small showroom, but only by appointment - please do phone in advance to avoid a wasted journey.
Or phone (or email) for details of work currently available, and we can send images (either by email or post) to help you choose. We always have a good selection of work available off-the-shelf, especially meadow, feast, rough magic and constellation pots (please see portfolio for examples) from £15 to £250. We post pots all over the world, and we can always arrange delivery of larger purchases.
You can commission a piece to be specially made for you. Much of my work is commissioned, from dinner services to wine jugs, and I'm always pleased to discuss possible projects. On some of the thrown pots (bowls, jugs, plates) it's possible to include a commemorative inscription in the design (usually under the foot) and I will suggest a choice of texts suitable for the occasion and the piece. Prices for individual pieces start at about £30 and are usually not more than £500.
Commissioning a house portrait or other architectural study: these are small-scale, highly detailed sculptures in low-relief (from your perspective, rather than a bird's eye view), combining meticulous accuracy with an evocation of the spirit of the place. Prices for individual house portraits usually range from £200 to £500 (including a commemorative inscription on the back) and I can give an exact quote from your photographs. Commission enquiries for larger projects and site-specific sculptural installations are always welcome.
Other lettering commissions: as a lettering artist on clay, among other kinds of wallart I make lettered panels for the garden, house name-plates, and memorial panels for headstones. I also enjoy commissions for lettering work painted on wood panel or reclaimed or found materials; these images have been used in books and exhibitions, and I'm always happy to discuss projects of this kind.
